classicwow.gg is an independent fan-run information site. This policy covers this website and its tools. It does not cover Blizzard services, Warcraft Logs, or other websites you choose to visit through our links.

You do not need a public account to read the site or use its tools. The site does not currently offer public registration, comments, newsletter sign-ups, or checkout.

When you request a page or tooltip, our application and the infrastructure serving it may process your IP address, browser information, requested URL, request time, and technical or error details. This information supports page delivery, security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.

We use technical information to operate and protect the site. Where applicable data protection law requires a lawful basis, we rely on our legitimate interests in providing a working, secure service, subject to your rights. We may also process records where necessary to meet legal obligations.

Public tools work in your browser without an account or a visitor login session. Google Analytics 4 uses first-party analytics cookies to distinguish browsers and measure visits. The private newsroom uses separate cookies for administrator authentication and security.

You can inspect, block, or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics does not prevent use of the public tools. Cloudflare Web Analytics also adds a browser script to measure page views and website performance. Hosting and network services may process technical information as described below.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits to public pages. Google receives technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, analytics cookie identifiers, page views, and engagement information. Analytics cookies can recognize a returning browser; this is not anonymous browsing.

Our Google tag is configured to report the page origin and path without its query string or fragment. For referrals, we send only the referring website’s origin, not its path, query string, or fragment. We disable Google signals and advertising personalization in the tag. We do not send tool inputs or imported file contents as analytics events. Google Analytics is excluded from /newsroom and every page beneath that path, including login and error pages.

Google processes analytics information under its own policies, including https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Processing may occur outside your country. Analytics retention follows the settings of our Google Analytics property and Google’s applicable policies.

Raid roster editing, talent builds, stat calculations, and imported raid CSV files are processed in your browser. The public tools do not upload those inputs or imported files to our application server. Copy and export actions create clipboard content or a file on your device when you choose them.

Some tools put their state, including any roster names you enter, into the part of the URL after the # symbol. That fragment is not included in the normal request to our server, but anyone you give the full link to can read its contents. Query strings, the part after ?, are included in website requests and may appear in infrastructure logs. Encoding a roster in a link does not make it private. Shared links, browser history, clipboard content, and downloaded files remain under your control; clearing cookies does not remove copies you have shared.

Avoid entering sensitive personal information into roster names or shareable tool fields. Anyone receiving a shared link may copy or forward it.

Hosting and network service providers may process the technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. Records may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to investigate abuse and protect the service. We do not sell visitor information or share it for targeted advertising.

The site serves its fonts, icons, and tooltip content locally. Opening a link to another website is a separate visit governed by that website’s policies. Ranking data is obtained through server-side Warcraft Logs requests; browsing a ranking page does not require you to sign in to Warcraft Logs.

Guide video previews are hosted on this site. YouTube receives no video requests until you choose to play a video or open its YouTube link. Playing a video loads an embedded player from youtube-nocookie.com in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode.

After activation, YouTube and Google receive technical information such as your IP address, browser details, and referring site, and may use browser storage or process playback activity under their own policies. Privacy-enhanced mode does not make playback anonymous. You can read every guide without loading a video.

Browser-held tool state remains until you change it or clear the relevant browser history or files. Operational records follow the application and hosting services’ cleanup and log-retention settings; records needed for an ongoing security investigation or legal obligation may be kept longer.

Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, or restrict use of personal information, object to certain processing, and complain to your local data protection authority. Those rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions. We do not require you to create a visitor account to browse.

The site is intended for a general gaming audience and does not solicit personal information from children. Do not put a child’s personal information into a shared roster or tool link.

We will update this policy when the site’s data practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Optional tracking requires the appropriate choice before it runs where applicable law requires consent; this policy and browser cookie controls do not replace that requirement.
