Engineering is the profession that puts a vendor and a repair station at the fire.
Skill levels and materials below come from the beta build; they can still change before launch.
The camp chain
| Object | Engineering | Effect | Crafting |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reagent Bot | 20 | Nearby players can buy reagents | handful of copper bolts + copper tube |
| Repair Bot | 140 | Buying reagents and repairing gear | 2 whirring bronze gizmos, bronze tube, heavy leather |
| Anarchist's Workbench | 300 | A station for recipes that require it | Essence of Anarchy, 2 thorium widgets |
The bots require a campfire and share the one-hour camping cooldown, and the Repair Bot can be placed over the Reagent Bot to replace it. The Repair Bot and Anarchist's Workbench recipes require an Arclight Spanner; the Reagent Bot recipe does not list one.
Why that matters
Blizzard lists vendors and repairs among the campsite benefits. An engineer turns those two benefits on: the group buys reagents without a trip to town, and gear gets repaired before the next pull or dungeon attempt.
Your camp job
- 20: Reagent Bot covers the "forgot a material" moments.
- 140: Repair Bot; drop it before a dungeon or a long farming session.
- 300: Anarchist's Workbench for station recipes.
- The Workbench tooltip only promises a crafting station, not repairs or a reagent vendor. Bring the Repair Bot when repairs are what the group needs.
The camping guide covers slots and cooldowns; the professions hub compares every camp role.
